Summer Edition!
I obviously love the warmer months. Who doesn’t? Despite the depressing fact that I get no summer vacation (tear!), I intend to make the most of it anyway. You know what always makes any summer better? Clothes, accessories, and products! Here are some of my summer essentials and covet-worthy picks:
A quality pair of stylish sunglasses. For years, I had cheapo pairs from Forever 21 or wherever. However, C insisted on buying me a fabulous pair as an addendum to my already-fabulous Christmas gifts (he left it open-ended for me to choose), and a few months ago I picked out these:
Juicy Couture “Mega” Sunglasses, $135
I just got these cute flip flops, which were on sale at Bloomingdale’s. They are still full price on the website, so I was super excited to get such an awesome deal in-store. I saw them and was immediately attracted to them, and was even more thrilled when I opened up InStyle magazine to see them as a trendy choice. Jellies! They’re back! (But these are a bit more chic, I’d like to think). They also came with a cute plastic case to carry pool/beach essentials (this picture borrowed from someone’s ebay listing):
Kate Spade “Maui” Flip flops, $60
Bronzer! What better way to compliment the gorgeous base tan you know you’re starting to get? I was drooling over this product in one of my past “Faves” lists, and I finally bought it a few weeks ago. I am in love. Amazing bronzer and pretty blush color to top it off. Totally worth the hype. Yay for a healthy, beautiful, natural-looking glow…in 30 seconds!:

I also have a few standards I always go to. I love a pair of crisp white pants in the summer. I love the nautical look. Blue and white stripes? I’m so there. I have a myriad of these type of tops. Wedge espadrilles? Love. Headbands? Always love. Mini dresses? Hell, dresses of any sort? I have a literal closet full. It’s kind of an addiction.

Of course I also covet. That’s part of the fun of wasting my days shopping online! Here are some things I’ve stumbled across and think are great:
MAXX NEW YORK ‘Bleeker Medium’ Patent Croc Clutch in Aqua, $125
I love this color and the bag shape is quite unique. Maybe not the best for the city (I tend to like a zipper), but I think it’s adorable.
Max & Cleo Poplin Sundress, $118
I love this dress! I initially found it when helping Stephanie peruse for a dress for her photo shoot, but I fell in love with it myself! A perfect compliment to a blue-eyed girl, I like the sleeves and tie waist details. If it was slightly shorter I think I’d like it more, but hey, this is work appropriate at least! (Not that that stops me usually!)
Okay basically, I like a million things, but it’s exhausting to re-find, link, upload and post photos, and comment on everything. Just know that I am a fashion-obsessed sale-seeker who is an expert shopper and who enjoys anything “girlie” and sometimes things that are inappropriate for people over 14 to wear. (Whatever! I can rock it!) Ruffles, intricate detailing, short hems, flouncy dresses, cutesy prints, light pink and other pastels, nautical themed, sequins-decorated or sparkle threading, ballet-inspired, the “same” outfit x10000 in my closet? I’m there. Okay, shut up, I don’t dress like a clown (although it may sound like it). Usually I take a few basics and then “pop” the outfit with one of the girlie details I just discussed. The good thing is, if you go shopping with me, I’m very quick, because I know my style. I will either fall in love with, dismiss immediately, or laugh at everything I come across. Evidentially, other people know my style too, because people always are telling me “OMG this is SO you.” or “I knew you would like that!” Hey. This post may not showcase what I’m talking about, but this is all you’re getting, like it or not.
P.S., Sometimes, I get the urge to photograph an adorable outfit I’ve put together, because I just think “DAMN! I’m SO ahead of trends here. And I look fabulous!” But I’m not that self-centered. I just write about it here and mask my cleverness with modesty.
